The Daily Clip!

8De clip van de dag heeft elke dag een nieuwe clip, hopelijk zorgend voor een blijvende stroom van nieuwe, leuke, en/of goede muziek. Vandaag is de clip van de dag... *tromgeroffel*

‘Ghetto Kraviz’ by Nina Kraviz! Her album can be streamed (or at least, could be streamed, not sure if that is still the case now), so if you like this, be sure to try and find that somewhere. The album is out, like, right now, so this is definitely a clip promoting the album the song is on. In the clip we see both Nina Kraviz and some young people strutting their amazing body control abilities.

The Weekly Froth #28 (Mario Basanov, Midnight Magic, Kasper Bjorke and more)

The Weekly Froth! A weekly take on six tracks, most of which have recently popped up somewhere in the blogosphere. Bit of a mixed bag with a slight leaning towards house, disco, and remixes, but generally just anything that for some reason tickled the writer’s fancy.
Track of the week: ‘Changes’ by Crazy P (Mario Basanov remix)
I like the start with the heavy bass and what I think are strings actually. Really puts the mood in place. After that the beat comes in to make sure it is going to work on the dancefloor as well. I don’t know Crazy P, but I like the vocals, and they go with that softer mood from the start. Not that the vocals are fragile mind you, they have enough spunk in them. Love what happens around the two minute mark, that really makes it friendly for the dancefloor as well. The song keeps on rolling, very smooth, and when there is a change-up it really is kind of undercover, but it sure will get the dancers in motion. I would fall for it anyway. The slow down at 4:20 is nice, though I would’ve doubled the vocal repetition, but I’m a sucker for vocals so yeah. One can argue that the build-up after the 4:30 mark is a tad timid, but who cares, Basanov really delivers a stellar and lovely remix, even if the end isn’t all aces and strikes.

New album Kasper Bjorke to be released in April

Via Poker Flat, an HFN Music affiliate, Kasper Bjorke will be releasing his new album. It will be called the Fool and it is the successor of the pretty fab Standing on Top of Utopia. Like on that album, Jacob Bellens will offer up some vocals, on four of the ten tracks to be precise. Fittingly, this album called The Fool will be released on the 1st of April. Some of the tracks that will appear on the album are ‘Lose Yourself to Jenny’, ‘US Escape’, and ‘All I Hear is Drums’.

John Daly announces new album

John Daly is going to be releasing his fifth album in April. The album, called Sunburst, will feature ten tracks, which one will be able to hear when one purchases the album on the 27th of April (and only then, after that date sold LPs will only feature static).  The opening track is also the title track.
