Future This will be the name of the new Big Pink album. It will be released on the 16th of January by 4AD and it will contain ten tracks. One of those tracks is ‘Stay Gold’, which I believe has been floating around the internet for a while now. Another track is called ‘Hit the Ground (Superman)’, which is a new track of theirs which is currently being touted as single.
You’ve got to hit the ground, Superman, you’ve got to hit the ground running!, said the main with the cigar puffing out more smoke than the magic dragon. The thing is, he continues, waving the cigar in Superman’s face, if you don’t come out quick and flawless, if you come out making mistakes, I mean, that’s not a superman. That’s not a superhero. Superhero’s have to be perfect people, kind of like teachers, you can’t do anything but be a role model. No mistakes, no personality traits that are less than exemplary. The man who had applied as Superman scratches his head. Well, he thinks, that’s quite the bit of pressure there. I mean, I want to help humanity, but being perfect, wow, that takes a lot of effort. And so he decided against helping humanity, returning to his financing job at a firm that does nothing in particular, and he took up flower arranging to relieve himself of the stress he got only talking about having to be the perfect man.
