Mr. Oizo to release album in November

This month the French producer Mr. Oizo will be releasing a new album. It will be called Stade2, and it is going to be released next week on the 11th. The album consists of eleven tracks and will be released by Ed Banger Records. Some of the tracks on there are ‘Camelfuck’, ‘Douche Beat’, and ‘Oral Sax’.

The saxophone filled up a wide gap in the music world with its distinctive sound. A lot of musicians already had that particular sound in mind and were trying to produce it, but none of the existing instruments really could. So some musicians tried to make their own in the hope of getting the sound right. This project was called “Finding the Saxophone”, with whatever was going to make that kind of sound already being named, and with who would come up with it getting a fair sum of money. Ah, thought Lennart Dortowski, that one is for me! He immediately went to work tying up several of the strings in his piano in order to capture that sound. Ha, Mattie Morgitz said, a piano is no good, the strings of a guitar come much closer, plus you can handle the long notes much better. So he tried to tune his guitar in peculiar ways, with  Lennart laughing heartily every time Mattie broke a few and had to go to the shop to buy new strings.

Strings aren’t working, Lennart mused, but maybe hitting organ keys is the way to go! After two nights he abandoned that project, for the constant peddling with the foot quickly got tiresome, plus Mattie had told the Priest that someone was breaking and entering into the church and making ungodly noises above all else! So Lennart was tied up for the next two days with all the Hail Mary’s he was forced to do. This gave Mattie some time to think, but he was drawing a blank. No strings, no keys, but what then? Suddenly he cried out, Oral Sax, which put him on the bench next to Lennart for double the amount of Hail Mary’s, which had Lennart rolling with laugther. While there, and bored with the Hail Mary’s so deciding to fake it, Mattie whispered his plan of trying to make the sound orally, by blowing into something. A saxophone driven orally. The two decided to work together, and two weeks later they were the proud recipient of a large wad of cash and the honour of having invented the first oral saxophone.
