New Side Project John MacLean

John MacLean, who is best known for his The Juan MacLean band with LCD Soundsystem’s Nancy Whang, is releasing under a new moniker. He has started to release singles as Peach Melba, which will concentrate on songs which he had made but considered too “housey” for his main band. The vinyls will be released by DFA, and the first release is going to be the song ‘Can’t Let Go’ featuring Amy Douglas on vocals.

Not being able to let go is not always a good thing. Celia Durtagne confided in her psychiatrist that she couldn’t let go of a memory that she has playing catch with her sister in their parents garden. However, she not only doesn’t have a sister, but while playing catch she is wearing a red dress with flowers on it that she doesn’t own nor has any desire to purchase even as, and I quote here, This would mean that I would have to go about naked. Though the psychiatrist in his memoirs concedes that at this point his mind trailed off a bit, he luckily shot out of his daydreaming and was able to pay attention again when the Tortellini started to be served.
