EP The Decemberists coming in November
On the first of next month the band The Decemberists will release a new EP. This EP will be titled Long Live the King, and it will continue on the same theme as the album they released earlier this year, called The King is Dead. The EP will be released by Capitol and will contain six tracks.
Long live the king, but eh, that was hard. The dark forces were upon them, a lord with an all seeing eye was at the ready to take over the benevolent king, and the only saviour was a little man with no particular knight or knife skills whatsoever. When he chanced upon a wok in an old American motel on a hill on his way to the fortress of the king, he decided to pause for a while, to relief his aching feet from the duty imposed upon them. He filled the wok with water, and lo and behold, the future is what he saw. A future on which shackles were on the feet of his friends as they were carried away by evil, a future of his burning hometown village in Montana, and the future of him going left and not right at a juncture. This is, he reckoned, what would happen to be when he would fail. And he would fail, he was convinced, if at that two way split he would take the wrong one. And so he thought, now, if I never come there, it will never come to pass. So he called up and invitied his mother to the motel, they polished it up, and it is now a successfull B&B while the coming of the dark side has reached an impasse for they are still waiting at that split to capture the young man, who is now baking and serving egg and sausage breakfasts for 2.99 a portion.
