Crazy Zany Radio Sunday - 'Lewis Takes Action' van Final Fantasy

Laatste track deze serie! In januari, na Kerstmis en allerlei andere feestelijke bedoeningen, zal deze column terugkeren. Elke week geven we onze eerste indruk over één nummer. Sowieso zijn alle bijdragen welkom, want we komen erachter dat we door drukte interviews en recensies moeten laten schieten, wat an sich zonde is of course. Linda: As good as the first song with which this column started out was (Autumn Beds by Modest Mouse for the odd person who doesn't remember each and every song reviewed here), so bland is this Final Fantasy song. I'd almost rather listen to Christmas carollers, that is, if I wouldn't go suicidal every time I come near one without my headphones on.

Anna: Beautiful instrumentation and odd sounds... sign me up! Although because this is Final Fantasy, I'm sure I've already signed up somewhere. His talent is blatantly obvious and sadly underrated. This song is a very pleasing appetizer to an album I'm not going to miss on (and neither should you; you know who you are).
Grade under the mistletoe: Happy holidays with a very festive 7.5/10

Jox: Well, this one is certainly eccentric. Beirut springs to mind, but this is a lot more melodic. Intriguing, beguiling and perhaps even alarming. Definitely the sort of track you either love or hate. And I think I'm leaning towards loving it.

Jon: Edgy, nervous and spikey, I truly love the intro and the Wilson-esque vocals it leads into. But just as I am really getting drawn in by the song it comes to a premature end. I'm not sure this particular fantasy is final enough, it's crying out "to be continued".

Stef: Most. Abrupt. Stop. Ever. Anyway, a faux dramatic/theatric atmosphere in which violent thoughts are uttered. I like it, but tie a new end to this song dear.
