Crazy Zany Radio Sunday - 'Super Heathen Child' by Grinderman feat. Robert Fripp

Every week our contributors will voice their opinion concerning one song, it’s a simple as that! The more the merrier, so people are always welcome to join in, just leave a note, eh. Sorry about only three people this time, it's the end of summer Holiday, so you know this was bound to happen somewhere during this period.

Track: ‘Super Heathen Child’ by Grinderman feat. Robert Fripp (listen here)
Average grade: 5

Anna: This is the very definition of detached. You have a great original song combined with masterful riffing, but they haven't been mixed together properly. The feeling resembles the one you get when you're listening to one song from the computer and another song from the stereo.
3/10 (for the sum, not the parts)

Linda: I was rather oblivious to the fact that there are still people making this kind of music - I for one thought guitar solos were abandoned in the nineties. Nonetheless, I kind of like it. Maybe I ought to listen to Nick Cave some more.
6.9/10

Stef: I love it when he starts repeating “You think you’re … will protect you. You are wrong!”. Nothing beats Nick Cave in preaching mode. Then again, the chorus is abysmal. Surely, that’s got to be the most accessible part, no?
5/10
